The treatment of infertility should target at the primary pathology:
• Anovulation: ovulation induction
• Anatomical pathology: reproductive surgery
• Ovarian failure: oocyte donation
• Male infertility:
o In-utero insemination for mild cases
o intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) for severe cases (requires In vitro fertilisation)
o sperm donation : for untreatable cases
• In vitro fertilisation
o It is the treatment of choice when:
 other primary treatments have failed, or
 as an alternative primary treatment, or
 as an essential part of other treatment such as gamete donation
