Application Procedures  

1. Identify the type of application and the course(s) you are interested in, one in the morning and/or another one in the afternoon.
2. Create an account in the online application system.
3. Fill in the required information and upload supporting documents.
   

   Type of Application	Supporting Documents & Channel of Submission
   All Applications	School examination reports for the last TWO terms (i.e. Final Term of 2021 – 2022 and 1st Term of 2022 – 2023) to be uploaded to online application system   Explanation should be given in Section 9 of the online application if the required school examination reports cannot be provided.
   Applications with Merit Award	Certificate from PGT/SAYT to be uploaded to online application system by applicant; or School Recommendation Form to be uploaded to CUHK Portal by the school
   Applications with Financial Assistance	Financial Assistance Application Form and Supporting Documents to be uploaded to online application system

4. Submit an online application by the stipulated deadline. Applicant will receive an auto-confirmation email that contains your application number (SI23xxxx).
5. Receive application result through email from April to May.
6. Accept offer online and settle the total fees payable to CUHK through online payment by Visa or MasterCard within 4 calendar days.
7. Receive “Confirmation of Admission” together with a welcome pack within 10 working days after your payment is confirmed. Return the signed “Confirmation of Admission” and required documents according to the specified deadlines. Read and act according to the information provided in the welcome pack.
8. For student who do not have a Hong Kong permanent identity card (i.e. student who do not have the right of abode or right to land in Hong Kong), they are required to apply for a student visa to study in Hong Kong. A set of student visa application forms and guidelines will be included in their welcome pack. They should follow the instructions to complete and return the required documents for student visa application by the stipulated deadline. Students are highly recommended to return the documents to CUHK by courier (i.e. SF Express, FedEx, DHL or UPS) to avoid any delay and to allow sufficient time for processing the student visa application (usually 8-12 weeks).
