Course Description The course aims to provide an intensive hands-on practice to the smart home system creation by using microcontroller unit (MCU). APP design for both iOS and Android will also be covered to monitor and control the smart home facilities by voice recognition or interaction with user interface.
Course Content Topics include:

  1. C++ language syntax, variable declaration, basic operators
  2. Program flow and interacting with MCUs, sensors and actuators
  3. IoT frameworks
  4. Wi-Fi bridge
  5. Principle and application of Voice Recognition
Learning Outcomes
  1. Be able to use both smart phone APP and voice to control the operation of smart home facilities
  2. Be able to write, compile and execute C++ programs for monitoring
  3. Be able to design and create basic application on voice recognition and system controlling
