Summer Undergraduate Research Programme (SURP)

Fees

No tuition will be charged. Students will be responsible for the costs of their own international and domestic travels, as well as other living expenses such as housing, meals, local transportation, and travel and medical insurance.

Notes:

1) All fees paid are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.

2) Permanent Hong Kong Identity Card holders do not require a student visa.

3) All students will be required to pay the administration fee, student visa fee, accommodation fee and hostel deposit through the online application system upon confirmation of registration. Caution money will be collected through a credit card payment authorisation form during admission.

4) Meals are not covered in the accommodation fee.

All SURP participants who are not Permanent Hong Kong Identity Card holders are required to apply for a student visa for their studies in Hong Kong. It usually takes five to seven weeks for the Immigration Department to process a student visa or entry-permit application. Depending on the origin of the passport, the student visa fee will vary as follows:
