Hua WEN (Ph.D. '10) is currently working in United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) China office as Programme Officer on Gender. "The working experience in international organizations is different from that of academia, but the way of thinking I learned from Anthropology remains the same: to be creative, to be critical!" she said. Her book, Buying Beauty: Cosmetic Surgery in China, a revision of her Ph.D. dissertation, was recently published by the Hong Kong University Press. To know more about her book, please go to 
Ka-Kin CHEUK (BSSC '06 and M.Phil '09) is now a PhD candidate in Anthropology at the University of Oxford.
Justin Gaurav Murgai (MA '10 and M.Phil '13). His MPhil research investigated the dreams and aspirations of undocumented South Asians in Hong Kong and the reasons why they continue to come despite knowing of the debts and difficulties that lay ahead of them. Justin presently works in a youth services organization where he implements harm reduction programmes for local and international youths in Hong Kong, and engages in community outreach for developing projects to empower young ethnic minorities in the city. Outside work, Justin is continuing his research on undocumented migrants, and hopes, in the near future, to continue his studies in Anthropology. (contact email: jgmurgai"at"gmail.com)
Mei DING (MA '09) is now a PhD student in the Dept. of Anthropology at Otago University, New Zealand. She is doing research on Chinese Uyghur in Australia: Diaspora and Migrants' Multiple Identities. She was back at CUHK for the Postgraduate Student Forum where she presented a paper entitled "The Chinese Uyghur diaspora: Australian restaurants and migrants' multiple identities."
Gloria LEUNG Man Ki (MA '02) is a freelance market research consultant. The flexible working hours allows her to spend more time with her two small boys, 7 and 5 years old. She had majored in Geography as an undergraduate, and the MA allowed her to move into market research and marketing.
