Kwan Mei-Po, director of ISEIS have earned the honour of being named in the list of “Highly Cited Researchers 2019” as among the world’s top researchers who has demonstrated significant and broad influence reflected in her publication of multiple papers, highly cited by fellow academics.
“Highly Cited Researchers 2019”, released by the Clarivate Analytics, identifies the most influential researchers as determined by their peers around the world. The honour is given to researchers who published a high number of papers that rank in the top 1% by citations in their respective fields of study and year of publication. The 2019 list includes 6,217 highly cited researchers in various fields from nearly 60 countries and regions, representing 0.1% of all professors and researchers worldwide. This is also the second year that cross-field researchers, with exceptional broad performance across several fields, have been identified.

The 24th Inter-University Symposium on Asian Megacities (IUSAM) was held successfully on Sep 4 to Sep 7 in Pacific National University (PNU) in Khabarovsk, Russia. On behalf of the Institute of Space and Earth Information Science (ISEIS) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Dr. Janice Wong leading 5 MSc students took part in the symposium and gave academic presentations. They are Anke Xia, Yuan Wang, Siqi Ma, Shichen Zhang and Xianggui Xu.....
The 22nd Cross-Strait Urban Geographic Information System Forum (CSUGIS) was successfully held in the conference hall of Shanghai Pine City Hotel on Aug 26th, 2019. On behalf of The Institute of Space and Earth Information Science (ISEIS) in The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Dr. Janice Wong, assistant professor Hongsheng Zhang and PhD student Ling Xiao participated in the forum.
