With the combined use of macroscale biomechanical (material stiffness) and biochemical cues (growth factor biopatterning), Prof. Michelle Wang’s group has developed a novel, bio-functionalized, mechanically-graded biomaterial that holds promise for hard-to-soft tissue regeneration such as rotator cuff repair.
