Generously supported by Bei Shan Tang Foundation, in 2013, the Art Museum has started the Museum Professionals Training Workshop which has successfully trained over a hundred mid-level museum practitioners in China, Taiwan, Macao and Hong Kong throughout the years. It has earned wide recognition for its combination of specialist seminars with field trips to museums in Hong Kong and abroad, case study sharing forum and a micro-exhibition proposal presentation session. Starting from 2019, the Workshop is renamed as Museum Professional Exchange Programme. Continuing to provide opportunities for practitioners to engage in intellectual interactions with veterans in the field and their peers from different regions, the programme seeks to expose our participants to the global scenario of museum operation and foster a sustained conversation among the professionals connected by the programme.
