    PROF. FUNG HONG

    Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, CUHK Medical Centre
    Professor Fung Hong is Professor of Practice in Health Services Management at the Jockey Club School of Public Health & Primary Care at CUHK and the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the CUHK Medical Centre. Before he joined CUHK in 2014, Professor Fung was the Cluster Chief Executive of the New Territories East Cluster and Hospital Chief Executive of the Prince of Wales Hospital at the Hospital Authority (HA) from 2002 to 2013, overseeing the management and operations of 7 public hospitals. Prior to that, he worked in the HA Head Office and was responsible for the planning and development of the public hospital services and facilities for over a decade. He spearheaded the development of HA’s Clinical Management System and electronic patient records. Professor FUNG is well recognized for his expertise in medical leadership, health planning, health informatics, and health services management.

    PROF. PAUL BO-SAN LAI

    Professor and Division Chief, Division of Hepato-biliary and Pancreatic Surgery, Department of Surgery, CUHK
    Prof Lai received education at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and joined the Department of Surgery in 1990. His received surgical training in general surgery and specialized in hepato-biliary and pancreatic surgery in Hong Kong and Edinburgh. Apart from being an active practicing surgeon, teacher for medical students and trainer for surgical trainees, Prof. Lai is actively involved in both clinical and basic scientific research. He is also the editor-in-chief of the journal "Surgical Practice" and a member of editorial boards of a number of local and international academic journals.

    Prof Lai has an keen interest in surgical outcome research, quality and risk management, healthcare policy, medico-legal and mediation. He has studied for a master degree in medical law at the University of Northumbria and he is an accredited mediator in Hong Kong under the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited (HKMAAL). He has contributed to training and education of healthcare professionals in various areas and is an experience examiner in the Faculty and College of Surgeons.

    DR. SIN NGAI CHUEN

    Chief Manager (Patient Safety & Risk Management), Quality & Safety Division, Hospital Authority Head Office
    Dr Sin graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1994. He was the Gold Medalist in Surgery upon graduation. He became a fellow of the Hong Kong College of Paediatricians and Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in 2001. After 10 years of clinical service, he changed his career path from clinical to management in 2006. Management exposures in the Hospital Authority over the past ten years included corporate Public Private Partnership programs, Medical Grade management, hospital expansion projects, annual planning and transformation projects, waiting time management and hospital accreditation project. He was the Service Director (Quality & Safety) and the deputizing Hospital Chief Executive of the Haven of Hope Hospital in Kowloon East Cluster. He is now working as the Chief Manager (Patient Safety & Risk Management), Quality & Safety Division in the Hospital Authority Head Office since 2016.

    DR.DAVID DAI

    Clinical Director, Healthcare for the Senior, Qualigenics
    During his 30-year career in the medical profession, Dr Dai has specialised in geriatric, rehabilitation and pulmonary medicine. Dr Dai was a member of several Hong Kong Government Labour and Welfare Bureau steering committees and working groups studying issues relating to community care and residential care services for the elderly. He also chairs the Independent Committee for Handling Complaints of the Social Welfare Department from 2015. In 2012, Dr Dai was appointed Justice of the Peace. Before retirement from the Hospital Authority, Dr Dai was consultant geriatrician at Prince of Wales Hospital and led the complaint management unit. After retirement in December 2015, Dr Dai has joined Qualigenics as the Clinical Director for Healthcare for the Senior; and is Director of Geriatric Medicine at Baptist Hospital since June 2016.
