Course Description

This course aims to introduce skilful techniques for participants to introduce and express themselves in everyday interpersonal communication and get ready for any unexpected occasions. They will learn interpersonal presentation skills to enhance vocabulary and the ability to express themselves for effective communication and articulation of ideas.

Course Syllabus

- Self-introduction: presenting your strengths and embracing imperfections via basic performing skills and presenting monologues by discussing the pros and cons of body gestures and movement, etc.
- Improvisation: overcoming fear in the challenge of giving a speech with little or no preparation, organizing thoughts within a given time frame, using nonverbal skills to strengthen these last-minute presentations, etc.
- Empowering others: sharing and explaining personal goals or career experiences, inspiring others via presenting the point of view, practising a stronger narrative power, etc.

Instructor: Ms. Becky Poon

After returning from Toronto, Ms. Becky Poon started her career as a news anchor and received her M.A. in Communication at Hong Kong Baptist University. She then devoted herself to the communication field as a lecturer, an actress and emcee. She has appeared in Oliver Twist, Treasure Island, Martin Luther and Come Fly with Captain Happy Gabby.
