Prof. Lawrence Wong: First Chinese receiving World Honour for Contributions in Promoting Stroke Prevention and Treatment in Asia

According to the World Stroke Organization (WSO), it is estimated that one in six people will have stoke in their lifetime. Prof. WONG Ka Sing, Lawrence, a member of the College and Professor in Neurology, received the ‘WSO President’s Award for Services to Stroke’ last month at the biennial World Stroke Congress for the contributions of him and his team to stroke research.

Prof. Wong, an internationally renowned expert in cerebrovascular diseases, is the first Chinese receiving the WSO award. The award recognizes significant lifetime contributions to stroke services.
