The serving term of the current College Head, Professor Fong Wing Ping, will complete on 31 July 2023. The Committee for the Selection of Head of Chung Chi College, elected by the College Board and College Assembly of Fellows in October and December 2022 respectively according to the procedures required, includes Professor Rocky Tuan (Ex-Officio Chairman), Dr. Norman Chan (Convener), Professor PC Shaw (Deputy Convener), Professor Isabella Poon, Professor Edwin Chan, Professor Ko Wing Hung, Professor Angela Siu, and Dr. Linda Yung.
The College Head, who is accountable to the Board of Trustees of Chung Chi College, will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Oversee the smooth and proper functioning of the College wi th a view to nurture the best undergraduate students;
2. Oversee the implementation of the mission of “whole person education” as enshrined in the College motto “In Search of Excellence” and elucidated by the Board of Trustees;
3. Consolidate the ownership, support and unity of the academic and other staff members, alumni and students in pursuing the mission as stated in item (2);
4. Engage the alumni and benefactors and solicit their support of the College mission and projects;
5. Represent the College in the liaison with the CUHK Manageme nt and external stakeholders as appropriate; and
6. Safeguard and enhance the standing and reputation of the College.
The Committee would like to provide the following channels for Chung Chi teachers/staff, students and alumni, to express their expectations (maximum three) on the priority tasks of the next College Head. The deadline for submission via online platform or postal mail is 8 March 2023.

Meanwhile, Chung Chi teachers/staff, students and alumni are welcome to nominate candidates. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) in person, by phone, email, or postal mail. Only the name and departmental affiliation of the nominee are required in a nomination. The deadline for nomination is 12:00 noon, 20 March 2023.
After this date, the Selection Committee will check the eligibility of the nominees, and then ask eligible nominees to indicate whether they wish to be candidates or not. Those who accept the nomination will be required to submit a CV and a personal statement on his/her vision of College Head, and will also be invited to attend an interview with the Selection Committee.
