Dining Attendance

Communal & Cultural Dining

 

Student who registered dining shall take attendance record with his/her CU Link Card at the dining reception counter. A student shall not be absent after registration. Unapproved non-attendance after registration via the CUHK Registration and Attendance System shall be considered irresponsible behaviour. Such cases will be notified to the Dean of Students’ Office for further action.

High Table Dinner

 

Student who registered High Table Dinner should arrange arrival time before 6:30 p.m. for college announcement and required to take your attendance record with your CU Link Card TWICE (around 6:30 p.m to 6:45 p.m. & 9:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.). For lateness after 6:45 p.m. but before 7:00 p.m., frontline staff will collect your CU Link Card and distribute an official warning letter in the name of Dean of Students’ Office after the High Table Dinner (around 9:00 p.m.) at the reception counter.

 

No entry for wrong dress code, no registration,  and lateness after 7:00 p.m. and who has received the official warning letter in any one of the previous High Table Dinners, no entry for the arrival time after 6:45 p.m.

 

The Attendance of SHHO students in High Table Dinner (GESH1000) in each term will be recorded on their transcripts as “PP”- Satisfactory attendance or “FF” – Unsatisfactory attendance. Attendance in 80% of High Table Dinner in a term, to be rounded down to the nearest whole number, will be considered satisfactory. In 2018-19, there are THREE High Table Dinners in Term One. That means students who attend TWO in Term One will pass. There are FOUR High Table Dinners in Term Two. That means students who attend THREE in Term Two will pass.

Communal & Cultural Dining:  

 

In case of illness, academic or other non-medical reasons necessitating non-attendance of a registered session, a student shall obtain approval through written e-mails to shhosa@cuhk.edu.hk before 12:00 noon of the registered date of dining. Please send us your FULL English Name, Student ID Number and a leave reason; those applications of late submission or inadequate information will not be accepted.

 

High Table Dinner:

 

In case of illness or academic reasons necessitating non-attendance to a High Table Dinner, student shall obtain approval through written e-mails to shhosa@cuhk.edu.hk before 1:00 p.m. of the last Friday before the week of the High Table Dinner. Please send us your FULL English Name, Student ID Number and a leave reason with supporting document; those applications of late submission or inadequate information will not be accepted.

 

For student who will late arrive at the High Table Dinner because of the academic reasons, shall apply for late arrival through written e-mails to shhosa@cuhk.edu.hk before 1:00 p.m. of the last Friday before the week of the High Table Dinner. Please send us your FULL English Name, Student ID Number and a leave reason with supporting document; those applications of late submission or inadequate information will not be accepted.
