個人簡介

Prof. XIA Yin (夏銀) joined the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong as Assistant Professor, and he is at present Research Associate Professor. He obtained his Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of New England, Australia, and he then moved to Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, to work as Postdoctoral Fellow and Instructor for several years. Yin was interested in understanding the functions of activins and BMPs in a number of biological systems including the gonads, iron metabolism and the kidney. Yin’s current research focuses on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of kidney injury and repair, and dissecting the various effects of inflammation on metabolism. Yin has published papers in many journals including Nature Genetics, Blood, Cell Death and Differentiation, PNAS, J Am Soc Nephrol, and Kidney International.
