The University Swimming Pool will reopen on 30 May 2022 (Monday). The opening hours will be as follows:

1st Session: 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
2nd Session:3:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Every Friday:
1st Session: CLOSED for weekly cleaning
2nd Session:3:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Every Saturday:
1st Session: CLOSED for the University water polo team practice
2nd Session:3:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Every Sunday: CLOSED
According to the latest regulations of HKSAR Government, the capacity of the University Swimming Pool is now lowered to 50% of its maximum capacity.
Preventive measures:
- Scan the “LeaveHomeSafe” venue QR code before entering the Pool.
- Scan “Vaccine Pass”, or present medical exemption record/recovery record.
- Temperature check would be required. Persons with temperature higher than 37.5˚c, or with respiratory disease symptoms, will not be allowed to enter the pool.
- A person (except under 2 years old) must wear a mask at all times within the swimming pool except when the person is (d) walking from a changing room to a pool or vice versa; (e) walking from a pool to another pool; or (f) where there is a distance of at least 1.5 metres or some form of partition which could serve as effective buffer between the person and any other person, is doing warm-up exercise.
- A coach must wear a mask at all times when coaching.
- Drinking fountain is temporarily suspended.
- Only alternate column of storage cabinets and shower cubicles will be opened for use.
Relevant notices about COVID-19 preventive measures will be posted at prominent places. All swimmers must observe the requirements of the prevention and control of disease (prohibition on Group gathering) regulation (Cap. 599G) that each group/class must consist of no more than 4 persons.
Issuance and renewal of swimming cards will commence from 30 May 2022 (Monday) at the Counter, Student Development and Resources Section, Office of Student Affairs (1/F, Benjamin Franklin Centre). Starting from this swimming season, resident smartcard holders could present the resident card instead of the admission card (for family members of staff) to enter the swimming pool with the fee applied.
