With her research abstract entitled "Mechanistic Insights of Complex Insertional Translocations", Dr. Linda S. Gu was selected for the Outstanding Postdoctoral Award by the Association of Chinese Geneticists in America (ACGA). She was presented with the award at the ACGA 2015 Annual Meeting held on 9 October 2015.

The ACGA, founded in 1987, is a professional and scientific association of Chinese Geneticists in America with its mission to facilitate the interaction between the US genetics community and their colleagues in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore. It recognizes outstanding research performed by Chinese students and/or postdoctoral fellows. Dr. Gu achieved outstanding research performance in the field of human genetics for she was the first one who received the same award presented by the ACGA in two consecutive years.
