In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Faculty of Science, the Science Faculty Distinguished Alumni Award is set up to recognise the exceptional achievements of our alumni in different professional fields worldwide.
Nomination:
The Award is open for nominations from all alumni and teaching units. Self-nomination is also accepted and the nomination should still be seconded by a supporter.
Selection criteria:
The Award recognises alumni for their exceptional accomplishment in the professional fields such as the academia, the business sector, or the industry, which brings distinction to themselves and honor to the university.
The Selection Committee which comprised of both internal and external members will consider the suitability of the nomination based on one or more of the followings:
For the inaugural award year 2023, there will be multiple awardees. Special recognition will also be given to two alumni who are under the age of 40 by the nomination deadline.

- The Science Faculty Office will acknowledge the receipt of nomination through email to the nominator no later than 24 April 2023.
- All information in respect of the nominations will be kept confidential and for internal use of the Selection Panel only. All submitted documents will not be returned.
