Dinner for the Families of the Incoming Class cum Awards Presentation

Families were welcomed to the College on Tuesday night for the annual Dinner for the Families of the Incoming Class cum Academic Awards Presentation, a celebration of students’ academic accomplishments in the past year. Professor Sir James Mirrlees addressed attendees at the event, speaking warmly of the unselfish actions that many students in Hong Kong have taken “in pursuit of a fine ideal”, and reminding families, Fellows, and students about Morningside’s goal of encouraging students to broaden their views and think of the world beyond themselves.

During the Award Presentation, over 100 hardworking students were recognized for their high achievements upon admission and in the previous school year, with 47 earning a GPA of 3.50 or above and claiming a spot on the Master’s List. Congratulations to the award winners, and many thanks to the families that attended!
