Morningside's Second Graduation Ceremony

Morningside celebrated its second cohort of graduates on Thursday during the College’s Graduation Ceremony and luncheon. Surrounded by friends, families, and the College Fellows, graduates were addressed by Professor Sir James Mirrlees and two of their peers, Gemy Hu, and Strauss Chu. In his speech, Professor Mirrlees reassured graduates that although they will forget much of what they learned in their classes, the ability to think will remain with them for years to come. He also reminded graduates that as Hong Kong changes in the coming decades, they will be the leaders that decide what sort of society the SAR will become. The two class representatives, Gemy and Strauss, then shared their own views on making the transition from student life to professional life. Attendees were treated to a buffet lunch following the ceremony. Congratulations to the Class of 2014!
