From the Airport to the University
This is indeed the best method in terms of money and time. It only
requires minimal experiences of travelling to manage it. The total
fare is HK$24.
-
Take Airport Bus (Route A41) from the Airport. The bus passes
the long bridge and then the Shing Mun Tunnel and reaches
the Shatin district. This takes about 45 minutes.
-
Get off the bus at the first stop after the tunnel at Shatin Town
Centre Bus Terminus (which is not the terminal of this route).
-
Take an escalator up into the huge mall (New Town Plaza) and
follow the directions to the KCR Shatin Station.
-
Take the KCR train to "University Station", which is
two stations (5 minutes) away from Shatin Station. You may
refer to the KCR railway network map
(English or
Chinese version).
Train runs every 5 to 10 minutes from 05:50 to 00:50.
-
Exit the train station to the left (west), you are already inside
the university campus. The other side is the bus
terminus for the public.

the map.
-
Follow the yellow line to the campus bus station (opposite to the field).
Take the campus bus uphill and get off at Sir Run Run Shaw Hall
(the second stop).
The Institute of Chinese Studies is only at 3-minute walk across the
board walk. It's building H4 on the campus map.
- If you are going to the guest house, you may get off also at the
same campus bus stop and walk backward for 10 minutes. It's building H17
on the campus map.
-
Between 8:00 am to 10:45pm, you may call the guest house at 2603-6411 to
pick you up at the train station. Fare is HK$1 per person.
