French
Bienvenue! Welcome to our French programme in the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages! This is the place to explore the beautiful French language and the exciting French culture. Our French programme offers language courses at six levels that lead to B1.1 proficiency according to the Common European Framework of Reference for languages (CEFR). We also offer courses that introduce different aspects of French culture. Students can take French courses as electives or they can declare French as their minor. Our programme strongly emphasizes e-learning and our students are encouraged to make use of online materials and develop their skills through individual and collaborative projects in French. We collaborate with universities in France, where students can attend summer intensive language courses. The credits earned can be counted towards your minor studies at CUHK. You don’t need any knowledge of French when you want to join our programme!
