The Institute of Global Economics and Finance concluded its third Executive Leadership Programme in Global Finance on 31 August. The programme invited more than 10 internationally distinguished lecturers, including three Nobel Laureates in Economic Sciences, namely, Sir James Mirrlees, Prof. Robert A. Mundell, Prof. Myron S. Scholes; and Prof. Liu Minkang, former chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission; Dr. Liu Xinhua, vice chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commissions; Prof. Joseph Yam, former chief executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority; Dr. Andrew Sheng, former chairman of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission; and Prof. Lawrence J. Lau, former Vice-Chancellor of CUHK and Ralph and Claire Landau Professor of Economics. These economists and business leaders lectured on a variety of important topics. The programme attracted over 40 senior officials and executives engaged in global finance.
