2011 Academic Symposium on Control and Automation, co-organized by CUHK and the Division of Information Science of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), was held from 17 to 20 October 2011. Guests officiated at the opening ceremony included Prof. Chai Tianyou, director of Division of Information Science of NSFC; Prof. Pan Yonghua, director general of Education, Science and Technology, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in HKSAR; and Prof. Xu Yangsheng, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, CUHK etc. Over 50 leading scholars and postgraduate students attended the symposium and 25 talks were delivered.
