- Prof. Hui Cheuk-kuen Desmond, professor in the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies and associate dean (External & General Affairs) of Arts, has been appointed by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR as a non-executive director of the Board of the Urban Renewal Authority for three years from 1 December 2011.
- Prof. Ho Puay-peng, director and professor in the School of Architecture, has been re-appointed by the Deputy Secretary for Development (Planning and Lands) as a member of the Appeal Tribunal Panel under Section 45 of the Buildings Ordinance for one year from 1 December 2011.
- Prof. Tso Wung-wai, fellow in the Centre for Promoting Science Education, has been re-appointed by the Deputy Secretary for Development (Planning and Lands) as a member of the Appeal Tribunal Panel under Section 45 of the Buildings Ordinance for one year from 1 December 2011.
