When it comes to the fabric, modern people have a wide range of choices, ranging from natural fabrics like silk, cotton, wool, linen, to manmade fibers like nylon, polyester, spandex. CUHK holds an exhibition showcasing over 50 valuable pieces of barkcloth stone beaters from Hong Kong, mainland China and Taiwan as well as ethnological materials.
