This year, patchy weather and scattered showers were the setting to the graduation ceremony, yet the moods of the graduates didn’t seem to have been dampened. Once the rain let up, they tossed their mortarboards into the air to celebrate the completion of university education. They were accompanied by Dr. Vincent H.C. Cheng (4th left, front row), Chairman of the University Council; Prof. Joseph J.Y. Sung (3rd left, front row) Vice-Chancellor of CUHK; and Prof. Benjamin W. Wah (4th right, front row), Provost of CUHK.
The University conferred three honorary doctorate degrees, some 8,700 doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degrees in 2012.
