Leung Yun-yee Esther, a Year 1 student of mechanical and automation engineering, won the silver award in the Student Stream – Concept Development Category of the Apps in the City-Public Sector Information Application Competition organized by the Internet Professional Association with her innovative apps design on traffic guide. While she was in junior secondary school, Esther was already keen on developing creative designs which won her over 20 awards from local and international competitions. Her new app, integrating real-time traffic information and data from Google map, suggests users the best travelling route and how long it would take to reach the destination. Esther is thankful to CUHK teachers who have broadened her horizon and gave her a lot of inspirations. She wishes to become an innovative engineer after graduation.
