This summer, Chung Chi College has teamed up with the General Education Unit of the University of Hong Kong to jointly organize the Lee Shiu Summer Programme 2012, in collaboration with University Scholars Programme, National University of Singapore and Yuanpei College, Peking University. A total of 93 students from different parts of the world participated in the progamme and embarked on a month-long study trip to Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing from 9 July to 4 August.
With the theme ‘Meeting Challenges Managing Global Crises’, participants have crossed the borders of the three leading cities in Asia to see and to learn. They were exposed to a wide array of learning opportunities including lectures and high table dinners by visionary leaders of different professions, organization visits, field trips, and different kinds of cultural explorations, etc. Through these activities, the delegates contemplated on a broad range of important issues which are of vital significance and influence to the world, looked into the crises and challenges the world is facing nowadays, and from them identified opportunities for changes and improvements.
