研 究 經 費 中大的科硏基礎架構由大學敎育資助委員會直接 資助，而大部分硏究項目則由硏究資助局撥款資 助。 是年中大從政府及私人機構取得可觀的科硏撥 款，計有硏究資助局的一億一千六百萬港元（其 中的九千二百七十七萬元屬於甄選撥款），創新 及科技基金的三千三百九十萬港元，以及健康護 理及促進基金的二百五十九萬港元。 今年經中大硏究事務委員會分配的校內硏究經費 總額為二千七百九十萬港元，其中一千四百二十 Research Funding The University's research infrastructure is funded by the University Grants Committee (UGC) while the majority of research projects are supported by the Research Grants Council (RGC). For the year 2002-3, about HK$116 million was allocated by the RGC to the University for conducting research, of which HK$92.77 million was in the form of Competitive Earmarked Grants. In the same year, the University received HK$33.9 million from the Innovation and Technology Fund and HK$2.59 million from the Health Care and Promotion Fund for research.
