Prof. Lee Tze-fan Diana, Chair Professor of Nursing, has been elected chairman of the Nursing Council of Hong Kong, appointed by the Secretary for Food and Health as a member of the Steering Committee on Strategic Review on Healthcare Manpower Planning and Professional Development with effect from 3 July 2014 and will expire upon the completion of the strategic review, and re-appointed as a member of the Hong Kong Advisory Council on AIDS for three years from 1 August 2014.

Prof. Chan Yan-keung Thomas, professor in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology of the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, has been appointed by the Secretary for Food and Health as a member of the Pharmacy and Poisons Appeal Tribunal for two years from 14 August 2014.

Prof. Chan Kay-sheung Paul, chairman and professor in the Department of Microbiology, has been appointed by the Secretary for Food and Health as a member of the Research Response Group on Emerging Health Threats for two years from 19 December 2013, a member of the the Licensing Appeals Board under the Public Health and Municipal Services Ordinance for two years from 1 January 2014, and a member of the National Verification Committee for Measles Elimination in Hong Kong for two years from 1 July 2014, and re-appointed by the Chief Justice as a lay member of the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Panel for three years from 3 May 2014.

Prof. Lee Lai Chun-hing Annisa, associate professor in the School of Journalism and Communication, has been re-appointed by the Secretary for Food and Health as a member of the Hong Kong Advisory Council on AIDS for three years from 1 August 2014.
