He has worked on ethnographic films as Consultant for the BBC, and completed an ethnographic collec tion for the Museum o f Mankind in London. Dr. Tapp's current research interests include the semio logical analysis o f T'ai Chi Ch'uan in Hong Kong, and the study o f Miao communities in China. Dr. Tapp's publications include articles in the Journal o f the Siam Society, The Guardian, the Journal o f Developing Societies, Anthropology Today, and the Royal Anthropological Institute News. A book on the Hmong is shortly due to be published in London. Dr. Tapp is at present revising his thesis on the Hmong for publication, and is writing book reviews for M A N and the Journal o f the Siam Society . He is a Fellow o f the Royal Anthropological Institute and o f the Royal Asiatic Society.
