CUHK Jockey Club Initiative Gaia (Gaia) has launched the Go Green Community Education Kit. The education kit, funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, is provided free for all local schools.
A launch ceremony was held on 22 November. Prof. Fung Tung (2nd right), Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor of CUHK; Ms. Shirley Fisher (1st left), charities manager of the Hong Kong Jockey Club; and Mrs. Cecilia Lam (1st right), programme director of Gaia, officiated at the ceremony.
The education kit is pitched at different learning levels and contains the following units: challenges brought by climate change, causes of climate change, carbon footprint and carbon audit, carbon reduction at the individual level, and carbon reduction at the community level. The student version can be downloaded at the website, and teacher’s version is available upon request by writing to Gaia gaia@cuhk.edu.hk.
