The 2013–14 annual meeting of the Advisory Committee of the Department of Social Work was held on 21 March. Ten advisors, 11 student representatives and 25 staff members from all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes participated in the meeting to discuss the department’s strategic planning for the future three years, its social work education, the direction of development of its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as its mission and vision.

In the same month, Dr. Ng Mung-chan Agnes, retired professor and donor of the department, had returned from Canada to Hong Kong for a short visit. She visited the department on 24 March to greet the teaching faculty. The department arranged a welcoming lunch and a campus tour for Dr. Ng to update her on the latest development of the University.
