Professor Preston's publications include ma ny textbooks, monographs and articles in the fields of economics, business administration, and marketing. M a n y of his articles appear in the American Economic Review, Journal of Industrial Economics, Journal of Marketing Research, California Management Review, and elsewhere. L i u Ch ' u n g - h ' u n g, Executive Secretary of the U n i t ed States Educational F o u n d a t i on in the Republic of China, arrived in H o n g K o n g on A p r i l 30 to serve as External Examiner in H i s t o ry for the Un i v e r s i t y 's degree examination. M r . L i u received his B . A. in the Un i v e r s i ty of Wisconsin and his M . A . i n Ha r v a rd Un i v e r s i t y. F r om 1925 to 1963, he was Professor at Na t i o n al T s i n g h ua and Na t i o n al T a i w an Universities. Δ M r . John L . Espy, L e c t u r er in Ch em i s t ry of C h u n g C h i College, left H o n g K o n g on M a y 10 w i t h his family. A f t er a few weeks of travel, the family w i l l settle d o wn in Camb r i d g e, Mass., where M r . Espy w i ll pursue f u r t h er studies in Business Administration at Ha r v a rd Un i v e r s i t y. Δ M r . Do n a ld C. M c C a be Comp t r o l l er of N ew Asia College, left for the U n i t ed States on M a y 15 after nearly three years of service. U n t i l the vacancy left by M r . M c C a be is filled, M r . Δ Professor D a v id Ma y n a rd of F o o t h i ll College, California, who had taught H i s t o ry in C h u ng Chi College for the current academic year, left on M a y 22. Before r e t u r n i ng to F o o t h i ll College to resume his teaching there, D r . Ma y n a rd w i l l visit universities in Ne p al and Afghanistan, stop for a vacation in Switzerland and call on friends in England. Δ M r s. E.J. Fehl, D e p u ty Registrar of the University. left for Eu r o pe on M a y 10 on long leave. She w i l l meet her husband, D r . N . E . Fehl, Professor of W o r l d H i s t o ry of this Un i v e r s i t y, in L o n d o n. T h ey are expected to come back this July. Δ D r . A . T . Roy, Vice-President for Public Relations, C h u ng C h i College, left for Japan on M a y 18 w i t h M r s. Roy to visit their son D r . D a v id Roy and his wife who have been s t u d y i ng Japanese in T o k y o. T h e y returned on M a y 26. Δ On M a y 3 , D r . R i c h a rd D . Weigle, President of St. John's Un i v e r s i t y, U . S . A ., and a memb er of the Board of Trustees of the Ya l e - i n - Ch i na Association, visited N ew Asia College. He also attended a cocktail party in his h o n o ur held at the College's Faculty L o u n g e. Δ D r . Me r le Jordan, a memb er of the T h e o l o gy Faculty of S i l l i man Un i v e r s i ty of the Philippines, visited H o n g K o n g between M a y 5 and 14. A n a u t h o r i ty i n the field of counselling and clinical psychology, D r . Jordan is a memb er of the Ame r i c an Association of Pastoral Counsellors and the Ame r i c an Association of Ma r r i a ge Counsellors. He paid a visit to C h u ng C h i College and spoke to the Staff C l ub on matters of student counselling on M a y 8. Δ D r . A r t h u r Lean, f o r me r ly Dean of the College of Education, Un i v e r s i ty of Southern Illinois, paid a visit to C h u ng C h i College last m o n th on his way to Saigon to advise on the scheme for higher education in So u th V i e t n am. He presented to D r . Ch i u - s am Tsang, Dean of Arts, a recent p u b l i c a t i on of his Un i v e r s i ty Press, entitled John Dewey and the World View of w h i c h D r .
