Mobile I·CARE - Small-group Reunion



While the campus is thronged with people again, we are about to start over and reunion.


The versatility and pliancy evinced by “Mobile I·CARE” help us respond to the constant changes. With the guidance of specialists, we will be connected to people and matters that have been ignored in this school and in Hong Kong.


Let’s while away to imagine the future, and savour life in the world filled with uncertainty!

 

The Mobile I·CARE under University Lecture on Civility rolled out last autumn was brought forwarded to this academic year. 25 sessions of small-group reunion have been scheduled for 2 October - 3 December. Incumbent and former CUHK teachers will accompany students to join various activities to experience different subjects and issues, as well as to get a taste of life together.


Admittedly, each session of the small-group reunion will only provide a relatively small number of places ranging from 5 to 30. Details of them are set out in the timetable below:


Enrolment Procedures:

  1. Complete the online enrolment form (a separate enrolment form is appended to each activity).

  2. The reason(s) of participation filled by applicants will be used for screening if the number of enrolment exceeds the quota.

  3. Selection result will be announced via email around one to two weeks prior to the event date (notification will be sent to all applicants).

  4. Successful applicants should settle the payment for tickets and materials, etc. (if applicable) or present the deposit (if required) by cash at the I·CARE Centre for Whole-person Development (Room 501, Wong Foo Yuan Building) according to the period stated in the notification email. Upon arrival, the payees should provide their name, student ID number on the CU Link and contact number for our record. The opening hours of this Centre is as follows: Monday - Thursday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm Friday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm - 5:45 pm Saturday, Sunday & Public Holiday: Closed

  5. Successful applicants who fail to pay the related fees or place deposit within the designated period will have their enrolment cancelled. Their seats will be assigned to those on the waiting list accordingly.

  6. Those who have duly settled the payment or placed deposit will receive an email notification to confirm their enrolment.


Remarks:

  1. All activities are open to CUHK students only.

  2. The number of activities for enrolment can be more than one. It is, however, prohibited to submit multiple enrolment forms for a particular activity. The enrolment will be rescinded in this case.

  3. Participants should present their CU Link when attending the activity.

  4. Participants who cannot attend the activity are required to cancel the registration in advance through email.

  5. Deposit is refundable on punctual attendance only. Participants who do not show up at the activity will be accountable for the forfeit of deposit.

  6. All paid enrolment fees are non-refundable (not applied to the adverse weather that causes cancellation of the activity concerned).

  7. Participant must observe the most updated group gathering restriction when attending the activity e.g. dividing into tiny teams, in each of which no more than four people are comprised.

  8. All activities are conducted in Cantonese except those specified.
