This project quantified the magnitude of, and the contribution of autotrophic respiration to, soil respiration from a subtropical secondary forest in Hong Kong. It also investigated the diel, seasonal, and inter-annual variability, as well as the environmental controls, of soil respiration from the secondary forest, and examined the response of soil respiration to experimental warming.
