The vast majority of our JD students possess at least an Upper Second Class Honours Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, with a large number possessing a First Class Honours Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree.
Many of the JD students enroll to further their existing careers or to enhance their professional skills. Many of them also have professional qualifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Private Banker (CPB), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Professional Engineer (RPE), and Registered Social Worker (RSW).
Some students are member of professional bodies including Member of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (MHKIE), Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MICIArb), Member of the British Psychological Society (UK) (MBPsS) or registered professional in various disciplines for instance in medical and social work.
Our JD student body also has numerous lawyers qualified in other jurisdictions. A number of our students are in or come to us from prominent management positions such as Director at companies such as Allianz Global Investors and CLSA Limited, etc.
