Jonathan Glusman started his legal career in a leading Chicago arbitration and disputes practice. In that capacity, he worked on complex insurance and reinsurance disputes, involving issues such as fraud, breach of trust, accountant and actuary malpractice, and insurer insolvency. Jonathan was a co-editor of the firm’s insurance law newsletter and a founding member of the firm’s electronic discovery committee, which conducted training and prepared model documents for the firm’s U.S. lawyers.
He was admitted as a Hong Kong solicitor in 2011, and worked in-house advising on issues such as agency relationships, insurance policy wordings and claims, and general business matters. Since 2013, Jonathan has taught for the Hong Kong Academy of Law, a project of the Hong Kong Law Society that teaches practing lawyers about risk management. In that capacity he has led training programmes ranging from traditional law practice topics such as conflicts of interest, privilege, practice management, and anti-money laundering, to emerging issues such as data privacy, cloud computing contracts, and cyber risk.
