To: Research Postgraduate Students/Taught Doctoral Students

Currently, the abstract, table of contents and full text of a thesis will be withheld from public access during the “restricted access” period as specified in the Code of Practice. 

As an amendment to the above arrangement, the Executive Committee of Graduate Council approved at its Second Meeting (2022-23) held on 18 November 2022 that with immediate effect, only the table of contents and full text of a thesis will be withheld during the restricted access period. The abstract will no longer be withheld and will be available for public access via the University specified e-theses repositories.

The updated Postgraduate Student Handbook, Code of Practice (Taught and Research Postgraduate Studies) and Guidelines and Procedures for Thesis Submission/Assessment for Research Postgraduate and Taught Doctoral Programmes have been posted on the Graduate School website (https://www.gs.cuhk.edu.hk > Students).
