Civilitas has been providing an academic platform to parties in tertiary education and members of the public in a bid to facilitate intellectual exchanges and lively debates in the field of political science.
At the end of 2007, a group of GPA students proposed to publish a student journal. The initiative was appreciated and supported by their fellows and the Department. Since then, Civilitas has become a department-funded student journal. Civilitas consists of two parts, namely the Editorial Board and the Advisory Board.
In each session, undergraduate students of GPA Department form an editorial board and manage a variety of editorial works, such as design, editing, publishing and delivery in a professional manner. The board receives journal contribution from undergraduate and postgraduate students and invites the Advisory Board formed by renowned scholars to examine the received works. All along, published works cover various areas of political science including political theories, comparative politics, international relations, political economy and public administration.
The first seven volumes of Civilitas have already been published between 2008 and 2015.
Civilitas welcomes works by undergraduates and postgraduates. Incoming articles can be sent by email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
