Resume of Career
Professor Poh Chiang Loh received his B.Eng (Hons) and M.Eng from the National University of Singapore in 1998 and 2000 respectively, and his Ph.D from Monash University, Australia, in 2002, all in electrical engineering. After his studies, he has joined the defense infrastructure industry briefly, before moving to the academia, where he has worked for 14 years as an assistant professor, a tenured associate professor, and then a tenured full professor. During this period, he has worked on multilevel inverters, converter topological developments, converter control and modulation techniques.
Current Research Interests
Grid-connected converter control, renewable energy, microgrids, power quality, and enhancement of power converter reliability.
Highlights of Recent Research Achievements
Received 4 IEEE paper-related prizes.
