Mr. Jiang Wenjie received the University’s Award for the Best Research Output by Research Post-graduate Students 2005. This Award is nominated annually by each Faculty of the University to recognize research postgraduate students with commendable research achievements.

The research paper entitled “A Statistical Evaluation Model for Minutiae-based Automatic Fingerprint Verification Systems” by Mr. Chen Jiansheng won the Second Prize of Motorola Best Student Paper in IAPR International Conference on Biometrics 2006, which is one of the most significant conferences in biometric research.

Mr. Xie Yongming won the First Award in the 9th Challenge Cup. The bi-annual Challenge Cup is considered the premier national competition of extra-curricular technological projects of university students. It pools the best young innovative brains from all corners of China.
