Founded in 1951, this year marks the 70th anniversary of Chung Chi College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong with a series of celebration events held on 29 October 2021 — the Founders’ Day of the College. Friends of Chung Chi, faculty staff, students, and alumni were brought together at this auspicious occasion to celebrate the College’s achievements and appreciate those spirit of selfless dedication while gazing into futurity.
Thanksgiving Service in celebration of the 70th Founders’ Day of Chung Chi College The day of celebration commenced with the ‘Thanksgiving Service’ officiated at the Chung Chi College Chapel by Dr. Norman Chan Tak-lam, Chairman of Board of Trustees, Chung Chi College, CUHK; Former Chief Executive of Hong Kong Monetary Authority. In his uplifting address, Dr. Chan expressed gratitude to all former College leaders for their contribution and insights into driving the College’s development — from dozens of people to the current scale of more than 3,000 students. Together, he envisioned bright prospect for the College with a new direction to cultivate Chung Chi students to become virtuous and talented ‘master of pen and sword’ with a strong mind and spirit.
Phoenix of Splendour - Chung Chi College 70th Anniversary Art Exhibition The opening ceremony of the art exhibition was held in the afternoon, displaying over fifty creative works of Prof. Lee Hon Ching, Art Adviser, Dr. Kan Kit Keung, Mr. Kwok Ka Yin as well as members and friends of the College including calligraphy, paintings, photography, prints, art installation, and so on. Members of the public are welcome to visit the exhibition area at the Lobby Gallery of Chung Chi College Administration Building. The exhibition runs until 23 November 2021.
