Speaker’s biography:
Lau Chun To, Kevin, age 52, graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a law degree in 1986 and a professional qualification(P.C.LL.) in 1987. He obtained a master of law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1989 and an EMBA from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2012.
He joined the news profession in 1989 and worked for the Hong Kong Economic Journal as political reporter and legal commentator. In 1995, he joined Ming Pao, another reputable Chinese newspaper, as its Editorial Writer(1995-2007), Beijing Bureau Chief(2007-09) and Chief Editor(2012-2014). He suffered brutal attack in Feb 2014 and was hospitalized for 5 months. He is now in charge of the Group's education publication business.
