Recapping the “Field Trip at Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall” and Academic Seminar “清朝新界土地的律例與習慣” conducted by Prof. CHEUNG Sui Wai on 23 March 2019
Prof. CHEUNG Sui Wai led a field trip to the Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall on the morning of 23 March 2019. The Tang Chung Ling Ancestral Hall is one of the largest ancestral halls in Hong Kong. Participants greatly enjoyed the visit and learned the historical background and features of the Hall. In the afternoon, Prof. CHEUNG delivered a talk entitled “清朝新界土地的律例與習慣” and displayed some land leases of the Qing Dynasty to enrich participants’ learning experience.
Recapping the Academic Seminar “香港文物保護：歷史與變遷” conducted by Prof. POON Shuk Wah on 23 March 2019
Prof. POON Shuk Wah hosted a taster class, “香港文物保護：歷史與變遷”, at the CUHK University Taster Fair on 23 March 2019. It offered a great opportunity for senior secondary school students to experience history study as undergraduates and gain a better understanding of the Department’s undergraduate programme through participation in the class.
Recapping the “Workshops for the First-Year RPg Students 2018-19” held on 29 March 2019
The Division of History organised the “Workshops for the First-Year RPg Students”, which offered an interactive sharing platform for the Department’s research postgraduate students to exchange and discuss their research findings. Prof. HO Pui Yin, Vice-Chair, delivered opening remarks to the research postgraduate students and encouraged them to take advantage of their presentations and discussions to expand their knowledge and experience.
