Congratulations to Prof. POO Mu-chou on being awarded the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship

Congratulations to Prof. POO Mu-chou on being conferred the Humanities and Social Sciences Prestigious Fellowship (2019) by the Research Grants Council in recognition of his excellent achievement under the disciplines of the Humanities and Social Sciences Panel. Prof. POO’s awarded project “The Imagined Paradise: The Netherworld in Ancient Egypt and China” looks into and compares the social cognitions of ancient Egyptians and Chinese on the netherworld, and the impact of these cognitions on people’s daily lives in the two eras.

Acting Appointment

Prof. LAI Ming Chiu, Chairman, is on leave from 23 February to 5 March 2021. During his absence, Prof. CHEUNG Sui Wai serves as the Acting Chairman.
