Prof. HO Hon Wai has been appointed as Visiting Professor for Term 2, 2015–16. During the term, he will teach HIST6012/7012 Selected Themes in Modern Chinese History: Socio-Economic Issues in Late-Qing-Early-Republican China.
Prof. HO received his PhD degree from Australian National University. He specialises in the study of modern Chinese socio-economic history. He was previously a Research Fellow (1998–2015) and is now an Adjunct Research Fellow at the Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinica.
The lecture series is co-organised by the MA Programme in Comparative and Public History, Department of History, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Museum of History. The following lectures will be held on Saturdays in January and February 2016 at the Lecture Hall, G/F, Hong Kong Museum of History:
