My project aims to modify the atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) source to the atmospheric pressure photoionization (APPI) source using the existing ion source.

I am truly grateful to be able to join this research group this summer. The two groups of people working in the ICR lab are very friendly and helpful. Apart from getting new lab skills, there was ASMS talk through Teams every day which was hosted by Prof. Peter O’Connor. During the ASMS talk, everyone was very engaged and would give feedback or suggestions to each ASMS talk. By listening to the ASMS talk, I understand more up-to-date mass spectrometry techniques and applications.
