On the invitation of Jinan University, several members of the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) attended the 1st Academic Committee Meeting of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory for Regenerative Medicine (The Chinese University of Hong Kong – Jinan University) (the MOE Key Laboratory) on 19 September 2016.
Prof. Kenneth K.H. Lee, Associate Director of the MOE Key Laboratory, Prof. Wan Chao, Assistant Director of the MOE Key Laboratory and Prof. Kingston K.L. Mak, Assistant Professor of SBS represented the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) to meet with the representatives of Jinan University in the meeting. During the meeting, Prof. Wan Chao, reported the recent progress made by the Hong Kong Team of the MOE Key Laboratory. After progress reporting, Prof. Kenneth Lee and Prof. Wan Chao presented, respectively, their latest findings on the key research areas as identified by the MOE Key Laboratory.
Following the official operational approval by the MOE in December 2013, the MOE Key Laboratory has been further enhanced and strengthened since its establishment by the two institutions in 2007, especially in terms of promoting collaborative research in regenerative medicine through constant reciprocal visits and meetings.
