Prof. Anthony Hollander, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Research and Impact, and Prof. Louise Kenny, Executive Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, University of Liverpool, U.K., paid a visit to the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS) and the Institute for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (iTERM) on 24 Sep 2018. As coordinated again by the Office of Academic Links (OAL), The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), this was another visit to SBS, shortly after the visit of Prof. Hollander in July 2018.
Upon arrival of the visitors, Prof. Chan Wai-yee, Director of SBS and iTERM, first gave them an introduction on the latest development of SBS and iTERM. It was followed by a discussion on the possible collaboration opportunities in regenerative medicine led by Prof. Kenneth K.H. Lee, Chief of Developmental & Regenerative Biology (DRB) Thematic Research Program and Managing Director of Core Laboratories of SBS, with the participation of Prof. Wan Chao and Prof. Jiang Xiaohua, members of DRB, and Prof. Anna M. Blocki, Prof. Chan Hon-fai and Prof. Elmer D. F. Ker, members of DRB as well as iTERM.
Before departure, Prof. Hollander and Prof. Kenny were also guided to tour the Core Laboratories by Prof. Kenneth Lee and Prof. Wan Chao. We believe the visit has further laid a solid foundation between CUHK and University of Liverpool to form academic collaboration and exchange in the near future.
